Terms of service

Last updated October 9, 2026

By creating a LicenseBook account you agree to these terms. If you sign up for a firm, you agree on its behalf.

The service

LicenseBook is a recordkeeping tool for engineering and land surveying firms: each person's professional licenses, their renewal dates and checklists, and the continuing-education (PDH) hours logged against the rules your firm enters for each state. It is not legal advice and it does not renew anything with a licensing board. The PDH rules are entered and kept current by your firm; boards change their requirements, and only the board decides whether a course counts or a renewal is complete. Each licensee remains responsible for their own license.

Your data

Your firm's records belong to your firm. Accessible records can be exported as CSV. See the privacy policy for what we store.

Availability and liability

We work to keep LicenseBook available but cannot promise uninterrupted service. Keep your board's renewal notices and your course certificates. The service is provided "as is". To the extent allowed by law, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the previous 12 months.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms and will email account owners about material changes. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
